Have you ever wondered why you are standing under the hand dryer for a long time? Do you often grab more than one sheet of paper towel to dry your hands? If so, there is a very simple (but usually overlooked) method of drying hands. Try this!
After you have finished washing and rinsing your hands, shake them downwards over the bowl 8 times (be careful not to hit your hands on the bowl or taps). This will help the water to ‘sheet’ and be removed from your hands quickly and efficiently, leaving just a few beads of water for the hand dryer or paper towel to deal with.
Don’t just dismiss this article. Try it for yourself. This will have time at a hand dryer (especially those cold ones that are often in outdoor/portable toilets) and the environment in terms of paper towel waste.
